Romantic Getaway in Toronto

Built in 1893, this classic Toronto Victorian home will be a relaxed introduction to city life. Available for you is the upper living space. Laid out over two floors, it is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom suite with a gorgeous private, furnished sky deck with a view of Toronto's exciting skyline. Situated in the College St. neighbourhood of Little Italy you will experience restaurants, pubs & nightlife all within walking distance of your front door.

There will be no need to rush out for coffee on your first morning. The Peony Loft comes with coffee, tea and milk for you to sip on the large, private skydeck with a view of downtown and the CN Tower, while you wait for the homemade scones from the freezer to cook and be enjoyed with a choice of jams. Groceries, beer and wine can be purchased close by and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Enjoy the space while watching Netflix or listening to music from your phone, Ipod or Spotify on the stereo. We want you to experience all that Toronto has to offer - the Art Gallery, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Aquarium, to name but a few - but we also know that a good night's sleep is an important part of any successful trip. Our new beds are super comfortable and the pillows are plump and numerous. Snuggle down in the calm grey bedroom, wrapped in the cozy duvet, and breathe deeply. If you sleep in the pink bedroom, the high ceilings and the branches of the tree outside will make you feel as if you are waking up in a tree house - one with lace curtains. You will find fluffy white towels ready for you on the bed and the bathroom will have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is a first aid kit in the bathroom closet, as well as a box of emergency toiletries.

Guest access

Guests have access to the full space through a shared hallway with an internally locking door. The space is accessed by the original hardwood staircase, unfortunately making it unsuitable for young children. While there is no on-site parking - there is permit parking available on the street. You can make arrangements for a temporary parking permit through the City of Toronto website in advance. It's the first result on the most well used search engine if you copy/paste these search terms: TORONTO TEMP PARKING PERMITS. Guests will have access to high-speed unlimited wifi and cable TV. The TV receives 100 channels including CNN, Netflix and HBO. So feel free to kick-back and binge watch all of your favourite shows (especially Game of Thrones).

Interaction with guests

Your hosts, Orla and Aoife are delighted to welcome to you to their comfortable and inviting home. We live in the apartment downstairs with the husband and brothers. We are happy to give advice on interesting places to go in Toronto and are comfortable with whatever level of interaction suits you.
